The main business area of the neighbourhood is the South Keys Shopping Centre, which first opened in 1996. A June 2012 report by Ottawa Magazine called it one of the 20 best neighbourhoods in Ottawa for first-time home buyers. The community of South Keys-Hunt Club is a mixture of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic levels.
