The Chateauneuf area of Orleans is south of St. Joseph Boulevard, extending to Innes Road on the south, with the curving Orleans Boulevard on the west, and a strip of parkland as its eastern boundary. The area has the Orleans Industrial Park on the south side of Innes Rd, and big box stores closest to the Mer Bleue Rd intersection. Orleans Village is at the northern end of this area, alongside St Joseph Blvd. This community has grown steadily since the 1970s and has a significant Francophone & bilingual population. The neighbourhood is relatively new, with 7% of the homes constructed between 1971 and 1980, 22% built 1981 to 1985, 34% from 1986 -1990, 17% from 1991 1995, 12% after 1996.
