The neighbourhood was established in 1979. It’s located within the western part of the Ottawa Greenbelt. It is bordered by Fallowfield Road to the south, Cedarview Road to the east, and by Highway 416 to the north and west. Built as a Golf community, the majority of the homes back onto CedarHill Golf and Country Club, one of Ottawa’s best semi-private courses. This opened up plenty of real estate to build along the course, and the Cedar Hill neighbourhood expanded. It is located northwest of the growing Barrhaven suburb of the city. It is a community comprising some 100 custom homes built on 1-acre lots. The properties are zoned country estate lots and the community does not have bus service, sidewalks, or other features of densely populated urban areas.
